Arunners Littlehampton
About us

The Arunners Running Club Littlehampton is based at the Littlehampton's Swimming and Sports Centre, Sea Road

The Arunners meet weekly on Wednesday at 6:30 PM at the Littlehampton Leisure Centre on the seafront, for training.

2008 Littlehampton's Coach of the year. Members of Littlehampton's running club, the Arunners, are very proud of his well deserved award.

John Moore is the trained coach leading training sessions addressing different kinds of training activity at a variety of levels so that everybody can join in at the speed or distance that suits them and nobody is left running on their own. The training lasts for about an hour (and may involve quite a bit of chat!). The training schedule can be found on this website.

After the training, refreshments are offered in the Leisure Centre. Showers and changing facilities are available.

On weekends, public holidays, or any other day that is convenient for running in a group, leisurely runs are organised in an informal way, usually in the wonderful countryside around Arundel. These runs are arranged on a Wednesday and then the details posted on the internet or emailed to everybody. Distances vary from 4 to 12 miles, in preparation for marathon runners, some of the Arunners run for longer distances.

Awarded the -Most Improved Club, Seniors- in 2007, 2008 and 2009. In 2009 also for the Juniors, for the first time.

The club, with 16 other clubs in the area, is a member of the West Sussex Fun Run League. Each club organises a race some time during the year for the other clubs to enter and there is a points system to determine the winner of the league at the end of the year. The points are based on participation as well as performance so that, once again, there is something for everybody.

The Arunners pride themselves on being friendly and supportive to those who just started running, as well as encouraging more experienced runners to achieve new goals. There are now over fifty Arunners of all levels of experience, ability and age.

Membership is currently £15 payable annually.  Club vests can be purchased from the club.
